We’ll see you in 2022 for our 10-year anniversary!
To Our Valued Followers:
Sincere gratitude for your continued support of our charity event, South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival. The wine committee for SoWalWine met recently and unanimously agreed the 2021 festival will not be able to take place this year.
Our committee is comprised mainly of our wine distributors and industry representatives who secure the wine to be poured at the festival…all 800 different labels and cases of each of the 800 bottles. It’s a huge amount of wine that is donated each year. This industry partnership is the number one reason our festival is so successful and has become so well-known and popular within the industry.
The distributors all shared that their companies’ restrictions have been extended until at least summer. This prohibits travel, pouring at large gatherings, and takes into account dealing the reduced resources since staff was furloughed and let go.
However, they all spoke at length about their commitment to our event and more than one person commented about being sure we meet the expectations of valued attendees, and how important it is to protect the experience we have created with this award-winning event. I agree.
Everyone is committed to start working on our 2022 festival and…wait for it…it will be our 10-year anniversary. We are excited to knock it out of the park and present our best wine festival ever!
If you purchased tickets for last year’s cancelled festival and planned to use them for the 2021 festival, you can still use them for the 2022 festival. You will be glad you kept them!
We’re also happy to announce that you can still donate to our benefiting charity, Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation in support of more than a dozen children’s charities by clicking here.

We will be back in 2022!
